Cookie policy
ventive.ai Ltd · Version 1.0 · 6 September 2026
This is the cookie policy of ventive.ai Ltd. It explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones our website and our software products use, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Browsers also offer similar storage, such as local storage and session storage, that a site can use to remember things between pages or visits. Cookies and similar storage are used for many purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, measuring how a site is used, and, on many sites, tracking you for advertising.
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside the UK GDPR) says that a site may only store or read information on your device with your consent, unless doing so is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
Our website: no cookies
Our website at ventive.ai does not set any cookies, and does not use local storage or session storage. Specifically:
- No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any other visitor analytics.
- No advertising or social-media trackers. There are no advertising pixels, share buttons or embedded social feeds.
- No third-party embeds. Fonts, images and scripts are all served from our own servers, so no third party learns that you visited.
- No consent banner. Because we set nothing that needs consent, we do not show one.
The only record of your visit is our web server log, which stores your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We keep those logs for up to 90 days to keep the site secure and working. This is not a cookie and does not involve storing anything on your device.
If we ever add something to the website that uses cookies or similar storage, we will update this policy first and, where consent is required, ask for it before anything is set.
Our software products: strictly necessary only
Our software products (such as leadily, SupportHive, kanbanic, hopfrog, Ledgra, digitill, quickcodes, Azzetica and epostle) are web applications that you sign in to. They need to store a small amount of information in your browser to work at all. Everything they store is strictly necessary to provide the service, so consent is not required, and none of it is used for advertising or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
| Purpose | What is stored | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keeping you signed in | A session or access token that identifies your signed-in session, and a refresh token that renews it | Cookie or local storage | Until you sign out, or the token expires (typically 30 minutes for an access token and up to 30 days for a refresh token) |
| Security | A token that protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery, and a device identifier for devices such as tills that are registered to a workspace | Cookie or local storage | For the session, or until the device is deregistered |
| Remembering your workspace | Which workspace you last signed in to, so that the sign-in screen can take you back there | Local storage | Until you clear it |
| Your preferences | Interface settings such as theme, language, collapsed panels, saved views and where you left off on a board | Local storage | Until you clear it |
| Working offline | For products designed to keep working without a network connection, such as our point-of-sale product, a local copy of the catalogue and any transactions waiting to be sent to the server | Browser storage (IndexedDB) | Until the data has synchronised and is no longer needed, or the device is deregistered |
| Real-time features | A connection identifier for live updates and collaboration | Memory or session storage | For the session |
The exact items vary between products and versions. Each product's help centre lists what that product stores. Clearing your browser's site data for a product will sign you out and reset your preferences; for an offline-capable product, do not clear site data while transactions are waiting to synchronise.
Where a product lets your organisation connect a third-party service (for example a mail provider, an accounting platform or a payment provider), that service may set its own cookies when you are redirected to it to sign in or give permission. Those cookies are governed by the third party's own policy.
Cookies set by our customers' sites
Some of our products let a customer embed a form, a chat widget or a public ordering site on their own website. Anything those embeds store is strictly necessary to make the feature work (for example, to keep a chat conversation together). The customer's own cookie policy covers their website; we do not use those embeds to track visitors across sites.
How to control cookies
You can control and delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. The help pages for the major browsers explain how:
- Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all storage will prevent you from signing in to our products, because there would be nowhere to keep your session. It has no effect on our website, which stores nothing.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if what we store changes. The version and date at the top tell you when it was last revised.
